Work Conditioning Programs
There are times when patients are referred to The Sports Rehabilitation Institute for programs which are designed specifically to assist in their transition back to the workplace. It could be that the patient has had a course of rehabilitation at another facility which did not focus enough on work specific strengthening or function, or that following a FAE, this was determined to be required to assist an employee in regaining their full pre-injury level of function.
Work conditioning programs require the employee to be at the facility for several hours while performing a series of exercises designed specifically to rehabilitate for work function. A restoration program outline, will provide the series of conditioning goals which will be achieved throughout the program to ensure the patient sees how the long term goal will be achieved. |
