Physiotherapists are university trained health professionals that specialise in the treatment of pain and movement problems. A physiotherapist has extensive knowledge of how muscles, joints and the body as a whole works. We will help you achieve the best outcome from your physical problem or injury.
Treatment is based on the clinical diagnosis following a detailed consultation including history and an assessment. Once the problem has been identified, the treatment program will assist clients to quickly regain normal functional levels in lifestyle, recreation and work activities. Emphasis is placed on prevention. Strategies to reduce potential recurrence are integrated into the program.
Our treatment approaches incorporate treatments which are safe and effective. We use outcome measures and evidenced based practice to constantly improve our quality of care.
Treatment may include utilizing the well-equipped, spacious gym area. Structured program-specific exercises are used to improve range of motion, strength, cardiovascular function and endurance as well as functional work conditioning.
Additionally our professional physiotherapy staff utilizing their extensive knowledge base and their experience, may treat using manual therapy techniques, electrotherapeutic modalities in addition to the latest in rehabilitative exercise programs.
The physiotherapists at our clinic are extensively trained in manual therapy approaches to patient treatment. Hands-on testing by the therapist ensures proper joint movement and assesses problems where machines cannot.
Education about clinical problems and their outcome is part of the treatment. If required, participation in formalized education sessions may be indicated with emphasis on prevention, wellness promotion, and a healthy lifestyle.
Our professionals take your health seriously as part of your health care team. We correspond verbally and in writing with physicians and other involved professionals on an ongoing basis. |
